The circular future of cities: the new #EnelFocusOn

{{item.title}}

Cities are the laboratories of the future. The Covid-19 pandemic crystallised the need to rethink them in order to make them more sustainable, resilient and inclusive. So how can the circular economy help bring about this transformation?

That is the theme of the latest live-streamed #EnelFocusOn event which takes place as a webinar on 24 September, starting at 4 p.m. (GMT +2), during the days that New York hosts Climate Week.

The keynote speaker for the event is Martijn Lopes Cardozo, an entrepreneur and the CEO of Circle Economy, a non-profit organisation that helps businesses, governments and local bodies accelerate their transition to the circular economy through practical, scalable solutions.

He will take part in a discussion with Francesco Starace, CEO and General Manager of our Group, Gabe Klein, founding partner of Cityfi and Venture Partner at Fontinalis Partners, former Commissioner of the Chicago and Washington DC Departments of Transportation, and a past #EnelFocusOn speaker, as well as Joanna Rowelle, Director of Integrated City Planning at Arup.

This is the 20th edition of #EnelFocusOn, our open live talk event that has already been held in numerous cities across the globe: New York, San Francisco, Boston, Rome, Santiago de Chile, London, Goiânia, Madrid, Bucharest, Bogotá and Addis Ababa.
