On 22 November 2016, at the Landmark London Hotel, some of Europe’s most authoritative figures in digital innovation met for the second event of #EnelFocusOn, a series of meetings on digital communication inaugurated in Romeon 26 September 2016. On that same day, at the Capital Markets Day, Francesco Starace, Enel CEO, presented the financial community with the 2017-2019 Strategic Plan, which introduced digitalisation and customer focus among the key principles of Enel’s strategy.
The main speaker was David Rowan, editor of Wired UK, who told about the potential of Open Platforms. Charles Arthur, former Technology Editor at the British daily newspaper The Guardian, moderated the conversation. The guests included journalists, bloggers, startuppers and scholars who are among the leading experts when it comes to data.
The meeting focused on the opportunities provided by the use and interpretation of data in the energy sector and on digital tools, Data Journalism, Data Visualization and Open Platform.
These tools help consumers to better interpret their energy needs and allow energy global players like Enel to improve the services offered to customers.
