Enel People, nice to meet you

Enel People, nice to meet you

From Matteo to Iulia, Elias and Jeffrey. Listen to the people working for our Group talk about themselves and what they do, on the Enel People online platform

“Take away my factories, but leave my people and soon we will have a new and better factory,” declared the legendary business magnate Andrew Carnegie. People are the heart of any organisation and make up its priceless human capital. So who can explain a Group better than the people that work there and for whom it is an important part of their career path?

This is why, when we decided to tell our story, we gave that job to the most effective storytellers of all, the people who know us better than anyone else: the 68,000-plus men and women who work with us in the 32 countries across the world in which we are present. Each one of them has a story to tell. We have asked people representing 10 different nationalities who work in very different areas of the Company’s business, from plant maintenance to data analysis, finance to customer relations, to tell their story.

We went to visit our colleagues in their workplaces and asked them to tell us about their lives: what they do for the Group, how many branches and positions they have worked in since they joined us, how their career has progressed, to describe their vision of concepts dear to our heart such as sustainability, innovation and energy, the biggest challenge they have had to tackle in their working life and how they spend their free time.

Their stories are now on Enel People: an online platform where users don’t just listen to answers but can also choose the questions and satisfy their curiosity about what it actually means to work at Enel. Just as if they were chatting with a friend.

You will meet Matteo, who spent months in the heart of the Amazonian rainforest to get construction on a hydroelectric station started; Monica, who is responsible for our investor relations; Iulia, who is accelerating technological innovation in our Idea Factory. And then there is Elias, an electrical technician in Buenos Aires; Matias, a chemist; Jeffrey, who is responsible for our Asia and Oceania markets; Filippo, who helps craft the presentation of our strategic plan.

So what does Enel People aim to do? It aims to talk about our Group and making the most of our human capital. But, most importantly of all, it aims to attract talented new employees by allowing them to see and meet the people who work for Enel, first-hand. Indeed, this is one of the principles of our Open Power. Because we are convinced that, as the old saying goes, “the best people never work for you”. But we want them to! Well, not for us exactly but with us to help us progress faster and faster. This is along a trajectory based on innovation and which also takes in the energy transition, and has sustainability as its ultimate goal. In other words, it’s about creating a better world for all of us and for everyone who comes after us.

Matteo, Jeffrey, Monica, Filippo, Elias. If you want to work with us, just ask them straight out what it is like!
